Three Month Retreat

Gentle Readers,

In a day or two I leave for Scotland for another three-month retreat. I will be completely incommunicado, without access to the internet.

May you all have a blessed winter and early spring; I will return after Easter.

Maggie

I still miss the wind on the West coast of Scotland - though not the power cuts that go with it. But Scottish islands are good for retreats for those who can stand on their own feet. Pax et bonum!

Martha my dear,
You have been on my mind so much these last weeks: I have read your 'Silence: A User's Guide' right to the end! Most of the time I didn't have a clue what it was about, not being academically trained, don't know Greek or Latin, nor theology. But I meditate, practice and try to be silent :) and then I understand/feel what you're talking about, and my heart feels soft and warm and not so alone anymore.
Thank you for your book, and thank you again for explaining liminality while doing Holy Isle dishes. I love you, and hope to see you next year during the retreat.
May you be well, may you be happy, may you be safe.
Love, Dorine
