Hi Maggie

Thanks for letting us know.

Will you be at the Hay Festival this year? That is where I first heard about the first volume.

Thanks

Nick

Too late for Hay. Perhaps next year?

My copy just arrived by next day delivery from DLT. A delight thus far; I'm trying to read linearly but find myself skipping ahead ...

Thanks so much!

A beautiful, disturbing, evocative read - thank you. I'm digesting.
I would I think, in the course of time, like to explore a Contemplative Eucharist. Although I am ordained priest in the CofE, I would want to take a very back seat, local tradition and pragmatism allowing. I have always sought not to cling to the profound and prevailant trappings of clericalism - my life in this vocation has always seemed to be a paradox....
Best wishes
Kenneth

Still to complete Vol. I. Are you planning another retreat with the Mahayana Buddhists? I, for one, would love to hear more about what you have learned.

My copy arrived 2 weeks ago. I read Chapter 2, Old Testament Silence, 2 hours before the Easter Vigil, not really thinking about the OT readings of the Vigil. It ushered me into a more silent Easter Vigil, savoring the gift as well of the Word proclaimed by very generous lectors, and the chants of the Psalmists, the renewal of baptismal vows, the language of love of the Beloved and the beloved self-emptied life on the Cross and the tomb. Perhaps, one can call it "resonance" in Maggie's list of apophatic words.

Happy Easter Maggie and to all practitioners o silence...
